Kaua’i has a way of luring you back year after year. From the lush landscapes and crystal clear waters to the fun restaurants and unforgettable experiences, visitors are always left wanting more. Below we have organized a list of some of the new things to try on Kaua’i for your visit in 2026!

Isola Cucina:

This cozy Italian restaurant located in Kapaʻa is known for bringing authentic, handcrafted Italian flavors to Hawaii’s Garden Isle. Opened in mid-2025 and founded by Chef Massimo Avallone, the restaurant emphasizes traditional techniques, fresh local ingredients, and imported Italian specialties to create dishes like house-made pasta, wood-fired Neapolitan-style pizza, fresh seafood, and classic desserts such as tiramisu.

Namaka Restaurant N Bar:

This vibrant, tropically inspired steak and seafood restaurant and bar has quickly become a standout dining destination on Kauaʻi’s east side since opening in mid-2025. Rooted in the spirit of aloha and crafted by Chef Aurora Rosin, Namaka celebrates the rich bounty of the islands with locally influenced, elevated comfort cuisine — from premium steaks and fresh-caught seafood to vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options — all paired with handcrafted tropical cocktails and a full bar. The welcoming, island-chic setting blends casual elegance with warm hospitality, often enhanced by live Hawaiian music and a lively yet relaxed atmosphere that makes it great for everything from happy hour and sunset dinners to casual nights out with friends or special occasions.

Break + Feast:

Opened in historic Kōloa in 2024, this is a beloved breakfast and brunch destination that blends creative flavors with local island flair. Born from the team behind Kiawe Roots, this stylish yet relaxed restaurant serves a diverse menu that goes beyond typical morning fare, with highlights like customizable loco moco “your way,” green chile skillets, lilikoi pancakes, and inventive Benedicts inspired by global influences. Open most mornings for brunch and early lunch in Koloa Village, it’s a popular spot for both visitors and locals seeking memorable, high-quality dishes made with fresh ingredients and thoughtful presentations.

Princeville Night Market

This market has been running for over a decade but there are always new local artisans in attendance, giving the community event a new look and feel each time you attend. Held on the second Sunday of each month at Princeville Center from 4pm to 8pm, browse through over 40 booths showcasing jewelry, paintings, ceramics, woodwork, clothing, and more. Food trucks and booths also serve up island-inspired eats and deserts while live music entertains the crowds.

The Musubi Truck

If you know, you know. Founded in 2020 by Kaua’i natives, the one food truck has now grown to three dining spots across the island. Head to Kapaa, Koloa, or the new Kalapaki spot to endulge in arguably the most famous island comfort food, sticky rice and savory toppings wrapped in nori. Choose from creative variations like kalbi beef, miso-marinated chicken, deep-fried Spam, and more.

Paia Fish Market (Kauai)

One of the most popular places to eat fresh fish on the island of Maui is Paia Fish Market. Lines commonly wrap outside the front entrance. Well, the Maui hotspot is expanding to Kauai, and according to their website “opening soon”. Slated for a location in Kapaa, be one of the first to experience this oceanfront dining option once the doors officially open in 2026.
