See below for an itinerary for a three-day getaway in Snowmass that offers the chance to explore the great outdoors and immerse yourself in the community culture.

Day 1: Spend a Day Hiking Maroon Bells

Morning: Head to Maroon Bells, one of the most iconic and photographed destinations in Colorado. Hike along the Maroon Lake Scenic Trail, which offers stunning views of the twin peaks reflected in the waters of Maroon Lake.

Afternoon: After lunch, venture to the nearby Maroon Creek Road, where you can explore additional hiking trails such as Crater Lake or Buckskin Pass, each offering its own unique perspective of the Maroon Bells-Snowmass Wilderness Area.

Evening: As the day winds down, return to Snowmass Village and unwind with a scenic gondola ride up Snowmass Mountain. Enjoy panoramic views of the Elk Mountain Range as you ascend to the summit. Enjoy dinner at one of the many highly acclaimed restaurants while you watch the sunset behind the stunning mountaintops.

Day 2: Experience a Mountain Bike Adventure

Morning: Rent a bike from one of the local rental stores and hit the trails of the Snowmass Bike Park. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned rider, the park offers a variety of trails catering to all skill levels. Challenge yourself or cruise along as you take in the gorgeous views of the surrounding mountains.

Afternoon: Explore the region's rich cultural heritage with a visit to the Anderson Ranch Arts Center. Visit galleries showcasing contemporary artwork by local and international artists or participate in a hands-on workshop (it’s best to sign up for these workshops in advance).

Evening: After dinner, attend one of Snowmass's summer festivals. Depending on the time of year, you can experience the Snowmass Free Concert Series, Snowmass Wine Festival, or the Snowmass Balloon Festival, each offering a unique blend of music, art, and entertainment against the backdrop of the Rocky Mountains.

Day 3: Serene Retreat to Local Lakes

Morning: Take a scenic drive to Maroon Lake and Crater Lake, located just a short distance from Snowmass Village. Spend the morning hiking around Crater Lake and keep an eye out for wildlife such as golden eagles and elk as you explore this alpine landscape.

Afternoon: Embark on a scenic hike on Lost Man Trailhead and hike up to Lost Man Lake. Walk through beautiful meadows, forests, and admire gorgeous panoramic views of the surrounding peaks. Take a refreshing dip in Lost Man Lake before beginning your descent back to Snowmass Village.
