Maui Swap Meet

Every Saturday morning in Kahului, the Maui Swap Meet comes alive as one of Maui’s longest-running and most beloved open-air markets, held from about 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the parking lot by the University of Hawaii Maui College. What started in the early 1980s as a modest local gathering has grown into a vibrant weekly tradition featuring 200+ vendors offering everything from fresh island-grown produce and tropical fruits to handmade crafts, aloha shirts, jewelry, art, and unique souvenirs — making it a favorite destination for both residents and visitors seeking bargains and authentic local finds. Alongside the browsing and shopping, there are plenty of tasty food booths and snacks to enjoy as you wander through the lively, colorful aisles, creating a true slice of Maui community culture and aloha spirit.
