- Rental Car Pickup: Board the rental car shuttle from the center median across from baggage claim areas A and B.
- Rideshare Pickup/Taxi: Follow airport signage to the designated ground transportation pickup area outside baggage claim.

- For Everyday/Casual: shorts, t-shirts, swimsuit, cover-up, sandals, tennis shoes and a reusable water bottle.
- For Dining: Aloha wear is perfectly acceptable at fine dining restaurants and luaus. Consider khakis, an aloha shirt, a muumuu or a sundress.
- For Sun Protection: hat, sunglasses and reef-safe sunscreen.
- For Hiking or Visiting Higher Elevations: temperatures can be much cooler around Waimea, Mauna Kea and Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Pack a windbreaker or warm jacket, sturdy hiking shoes and long pants.
