The Amp Concert Series

The Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater, affectionately known as The Amp, draws world-class musical and comedic talent to Vail every summer. Past concerts have included a Santana and Phish collaboration, Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, and Leon Bridges, as well as performances from past members of iconic bands like The Grateful Dead and The Wailers. Meanwhile, on the comedy side of things, Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Nate Bargatze have all taken the stage at The Amp.

GoPro Mountain Games

~Activities span across Vail

What started as a whitewater event in 2002, has since evolved into one of the biggest celebrations of adventure sports, the outdoor community, and the mountains. The Mountain Games now include over 30 competitions in various sports from kayaking to slacklining to dog distance jumping. Aside from competitions the Mountain Games also has a concert series and often promotes local artists and craftspeople in addition to all of the athletes. The Games take place every June.

Lack of snow means you can’t whip down the mountainside during the summer right? Wrong! Thrill-seekers, grab your tickets for the Forest Flyer Mountain Coaster that will have you zipping through pine trees and past beautiful alpine wildflowers. The coaster is family-friendly for riders who are 3 years or older and are over 38 inches tall.
