General Information

  • Is there beachfront access?

    While not directly on the beach, The Shores at Waikola s is just a short drive to several of the Big Island's finest beaches, including 'Anaeho'omalu Beach and Waikoloa Beach only 1.3 miles away.

  • What are some popular nearby beaches?

    You’ll be close to some of the Island of Hawaii's best beaches:

    • Waikoloa Beach – 1.3 miles away, great for snorkeling, swimming, and paddleboarding.
    • 49 Black Sand Beach – 6.9 miles away, beautiful black sand coastline.
    • Hapuna Beach – 9.0 miles away, one of the largest and most popular beaches on the island.
  • Are beach chairs and umbrellas included?

    Each vacation rental at The Shores at Waikoloa should be equipped with beach chairs and beach umbrella for guest use. While not guaranteed, our Guest Services team can also assist in arranging rentals from nearby vendors.

  • Are pets allowed?

    It is important to understand that the state of Hawaii has strict protocols when it comes to bringing animals to Hawaii. There are quarantine requirements, health certificates, and other forms that must be completed prior to travel. The Shores at Waikoloa does not allow pets. Certified service animals are allowed and must be registered on property.

Check-In & Check-Out

  • What are the check-in and check-out times?

    Check-in is available after 4:00 PM, and check-out is required by 11:00 AM. If you need early check-in or late check-out, please inform us in advance, and we will do our best to accommodate your request based on availability.

  • What is the check-in process for The Shores at Waikoloa?

    All guests can check in by driving directly to their assigned vacation rental at The Shores at Waikoloa. We will provide unit details along with gate codes and electronic key codes prior to guest arrival. Our Island Host Center is located just 5 miles up the road at 68-1050 Mauna Lani Point Dr., Waimea, HI 96743. The Island Hosts are available from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily. For after-hour emergencies (between 5:00 PM and 8:00 AM), guests should call 808-891-6200 for assistance.

  • How can I get it to The Shores at Waikoloa from the airport?

    The Shores at Waikoloa is about 19 miles from the Kona International Aiport (OGG). You can arrive by:

    • Car Rental: Renting a car is the best way to explore the Big Island. CoralTree Residence Collection partners with Enterprise Rent-A-Car, and rentals can be arranged to be ready at Kona International Airport for your arrival.
    • Taxi: Taxis are available at the airport but may need to be scheduled in advance.
    • Uber: Uber services, including UberX and UberSelect, are available on the Island of Hawaii.



Cancellation Terms

  • What are the cancellation terms?
    • Travel dates 1/5/25-12/18/25: 30 days or more prior to arrival, one-night deposit will be refunded.
    • Travel dates 1/5/25-12/18/25: Less than 30 days notification prior to arrival, full reservation value will be forfeited/no refunds.
    • Travel dates 1/5/26-12/18/26: 30 days or more notification prior to arrival, one night deposit will be refunded.
    • Travel dates 1/5/26-12/18/26: Less than 30 days notification prior to arrival, full reservation value will be forfeited/no refunds.
    • For stays of 21 nights or more: Cancellation within 60 days of arrival: Full forfeiture of reservation value, no refunds
    • For Christmas/New Year’s period (12/19-1/4):
      • Cancellations 60 days or more prior to arrival: Full deposit forfeited.
      • Cancellations within 60 days of arrival: Full forfeiture of reservation value, no refunds.

  • Does The Shores at Waikoloa offer free parking?

    Yes! Parking is convenient and easy. Parking available on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • Are there any pool facilities on the property?

    The Shores at Waikoloa features two outdoor pools that are open all year round and free for all guests. There is also a hot tub/jacuzzi available for guest relaxation.

  • Are there restaurants on the property?

    While we do not have an on-site restaurant, guests can easily drive to the Kings' Shops or Queens' Marketplace, just three minutes away, offering a variety of dining options. One of the most popular beachfront dining options on the island is Lava Lava Beach Club, also a short four-minute drive away.

  • Is there a spa on the property?

    While there is no on-site spa, nearby resorts like the Hilton Waikoloa and Westin Hapuna Beach Resort offer luxurious spa services within a 10-minute drive of the property.

  • Does the property have a fitness center?

    The Shores at Waikoloa has a private fitness center on-site complete with top-of-the-line workout equipment, machines, and free weights.

Housekeeping & Maintenance

  • What is included in the housekeeping service?

    Before your arrival, our team will clean your residence using industry-leading techniques and products. For stays of five to nine nights, we offer a complimentary mid-stay cleaning on your third or fourth day. For stays exceeding ten nights, we provide two complimentary mid-stay cleanings every three to four days, which includes:

    • Change of bed linens
    • Replacement of soiled bathroom towels
    • Restocking and cleaning of bathrooms
    • Kitchen cleaning and loading the dishwasher
    • Trash removal
    • Sweeping and mopping floors
    • Dusting furniture and cleaning tabletops
    • Vacuuming the residence
    • Cleaning lanai tabletops and floors
  • How is maintenance handled during my stay?

    We have an on-island maintenance team available for any issues. Guests can contact the Island Host Center for assistance.
